Use a Tanning Lotion For a Safe Beautiful Tan
Filed Under Miscellaneous | Comments Off
The maximum benefits of tanning can be enjoyed at the maximum if people know how to use a high quality sunless tanning lotion. Scientific evidence continues to bring unsettling facts to the public attention concerning the damage of excessive or uncontrolled sun exposure. Where does the efficiency of a tanning lotion lie? The UVA and UVB represent the main threat to human skin, but with a sunless tanning lotion you are free to enjoy tan without baring any risk at all. Even so, reproaches do exist about the doubtful quality of some bronzer items present on the market. The basic issue consists of the lotions tendency to streak and spot, which can ruin not only the look but clothes too.
Artificial tanning lotion products rely on the use of DHA as the bronzer agent; this substance reacts with the amino-acids specific to the upper skin layers and causes the appearance of the beautiful tan color. Hence, when shopping for such products, always check whether they contain DHA. Then, skin moisture care is also relevant given the fact that a tanning lotion with some natural hydration agent will leave the skin silky, beautiful and elastic. Aloe vera for instance proves as a great moisturizer, and many of the skincare treatments include it in their composition. The product should have the label printed with info on the concentration level or the proportions in which herbal extracts are present in the lotion.
Last but not least, any user must check the sunscreen properties of the tanning lotion he or she buys. Consider it a safety measure so that you don’t get exposed to intense radiation without even knowing it. Most of the tanning lotion categories contain sunscreen built in, but experts warn that it is often insufficient. Even if you have golden skin from the use of a sunless lotion, apply a sunscreen product all the same. Not only will it add to the beautiful bronze look, but it will eliminate the discomfort of sunburns too.
Does a tanning lotion bring a darker tan? A more intense chocolate color of the skin is achieved after several applications of a tanning lotion product. The instructions on the package should guide you progressively towards a nice tanned look in perfect safety. It is advisable to ask for a doctor’s advice in case you suffer from some skin problem; chemical side effects are possible since the tanning lotion mainly contains a combination of laboratory created substances that change the pigment at the skin level. Moreover, one of the ingredients could also have low tolerance, which may favor skin rashes and even allergies.

Are You Using Free Hosting Services?
Filed Under Miscellaneous | Comments Off
Free web hosting is in many cases the most basic web hosting service that you can sign up with, and there are many free hosting providers available on the internet. The companies providing the free hosting accounts usually finance this by ads on the web sites that are hosted.
Another feature about free web hosting services - they are usually extremely limited. If you get a free hosting service, you are forced to have ads on the top and perhaps even on the bottom of your website, and depending on what your website is all about, it may not fit at all. However, if you are amongst those just starting out on the internet, a free hosting account may very well be the best option, since you probably don’t have a lot of traffic, or just a small site.
The type of domain that you receive when you sign up for a free web hosting account is usually a subdomain with the name that you pick (yourname.somefreewebhost.com) or a name in a directory (somefreewebhost.com/yourname). For example, if the name of your free host is the000webhost.com, then your web domain would be yourbusiness.the000webhost.com.
If you are a newbie, this is the type of account that you would probably want to get, but you should be aware of some of the shortcomings this sort of free web hosting account has, especially if you are looking for more advanced options:
Firstly, many free hosting accounts do not support databases. Databases are usually used for online data retrieval routines, or to manage dynamic content on your site, such as a wordpress blog. Many of these free web hosting sites do not even support the most widely used package called mySQL!
Secondly, the free webhosts may not support multiple email accounts; in fact they only give you one email account, which is usually a web based internet account (aka webmail).
However, recently some new companies has emerged, that will in fact give you a free hosting account without the recenly mentioned shortcomings; you get PHP, mySQL, email accounts and lots more! One of them is a free webhosting service found at the000webhost.com. They even allow you to host your own domain (a perfect reason to finally purchase a domain of your own), and you are not forced to display ads or anything like that. How’s that for an improvement!
The downside? - They will disable your account after 15 days without traffic, which could be a problem if you are just starting out. Some would call it a blessing, since it will force you to come up with new and fresh ways to generate web traffic to your site.

How to Get Cheap Cars
Filed Under Miscellaneous | Comments Off
Automobiles are status symbols. Everyone has heard of the celebrities with massive collections of expensive cars, or custom built garages to accommodate their cars in the heart of an expensive city like New York. Cheap cars are the way to go for some folks. It’s doesn’t have to be a clunker just because it doesn’t cost a lot. Less costly can still be exciting to drive. Any car you choose, be sure to get a good car insurance.
Buy a used car if you want to save some cash. There a much less expensive top model cars, at least when compared to the new versions. A new term has emerged over the last decade, pre-owned – to denote used cars that are of high quality. Pre-owned cars have pulled some new car lovers into the used car world. Consider this with luxury cars. Even after 10 years a well built Lexus can look and drive like new. A lot of people buy slightly used instead of new car after car. This was immortalized in Driving Miss Daisy when the driver bought Miss Daisy’s old cars.
Some new cars are pretty inexpensive. Hyundai makes some models that are decent for less than $12K. Then there’s the Civic, from Honda, weighing in at about $15,000. That car lasts a long time, and gets great gas mileage. These cars are also much cheaper to maintain than luxury cars that often require more expensive parts and even premium grades of gas. If you are planning in getting professional car insurance advice, checkout the price, as car insurance rates are rising.
Another area to look is cheaper, if not really cheap, luxury cars. Audi makes luxury cars that compete with Mercedes and Lexus, but generally at the lower end of the price spread for like models. Audi boasts the top engineered cars in the world, bar none. The Audi TT can be just as much fun as a Porsche, but much less expensive.
Some people aren’t happy unless they scrape the bottom of the barrel cheap. They turn to the clunker, the hooptie, the ancient model car that was probably old when their parents first bought a car. Teens often buy this style of car. As long as it’s safe to drive, it gets them from A to B. But watch out, the age old adage “You get what you pay for” applies to cheap cars too. It may not seem like such a deal when it won’t start on a cold winter morning.

Ramblings of a part time angler
Filed Under Miscellaneous | Comments Off
To all the fishermen or anglers out there which ever you prefer to be called. I would like you to know about a particular fishing tackle site selling total fishing gear a mate of mine emailed me .We are both keen fishermen .I fish for large essox mainly and he tends to fish for common carp and fully scaled carp .Obviously I can not go to some man made puddle and pull out 16 pounders but he likes too but I definately wont hold that against him.
Getting back to what I was talking about I really enjoyed Matt Hayes pike video first as you would imagine and thought it was an insight for a newcomer into how to go about targetting pike or would I say essox and a monster he caught too.Matt Hayes also shows you how to take the trebles from this beast of a pike without any injury to the pike or yourself.
Being considerate I figured just out of common courtesy to my buddy I would have a laugh and have a look at what his carp fishing gear looks like What I did see that I thought was really good was a video about some really good TFG Clothing .I have never honestly took any notice of it as it does not swim in any rivers around here.Well I might just have found the fish I will be aiming for during the summer months to find out why you need to watch this
Right enough of fishing my son wanted some diesel trainers as soon as possible and do you know how much hassle we had trying to sort this out.You would not believe it but then my wife found this site diesel trainers and everything was sorted.Put the order in one day and they turned up the next day as promised everyone was happy back to the riverbank now I think for some more fishing

Is Tenerife The Next Marbella ?
Filed Under Miscellaneous | Comments Off
It is true that the Spanish do not holiday in their own country in the same way that most Euopeans do within Spain and the Canary Islands. For Spaniards, a trip away from home in their own country as a holiday is a trip to a friend or relative for a few days.
Even though the South East Coastal regions of Spain stay warm all year round, the Spanish don’t care for hanging out around the tourist resorts much like the Brits in general are not that eager to spend their main holidays hanging out along the East Coast of the UK.
However, as the economic downturn bites into the UK, Tenerife has noticed a large decrease in the number of Brits travelling to Tenerife for holidays in the last quarter of 2008 and all expectations are for this trend to stay the same for some time to come! Yet the number of Spanish holidaying in Tenerife is on the increase even though the Department of Tourist Investigation of the Tenerife Tourism Board announced that October was down by 6.9% on last year for total visitors to the Island. The ten months up to October had shown a 1.38% overall increase to 4,443,426 tourists in 2008.
The holiday firm behind the Nerja Apartments booking agency confirmed that travellers from the UK to Spain was still bouyant and that plans to open a new Tenerife Apartments agency would still be going ahead early 2009 whilst solidifying the Marbella Apartments position in the market place as they increase market share. They acknowledge the subtle change being experienced in customer mix and are developing multiple language options for their websites.

Ouch, more blog writer’s cramp?
Filed Under Miscellaneous | Comments Off
I don’t know about you but I get really tired of having to come up with blog content. I have been running several blogs for some time now and its always the same old, same old: What am I going to say today?
Well, it finally hit me one day, that lots and lots of quality content already exists on the web. So, I could help my readers out and save myself from the daily posting game by utilizing some of the quality content already in existence. Don’t worry, I plan to give credit where credit is due.
Now, I have decided to share this long awaited solution with you. I call it: PostScout.com Automatic Blog Content. Ok, so the name was not that good but I liked the concept of this software scouting out quality content for my blog so I did not have to. However, this does not preclude me from adding my own articles to my blogs, but boy it helps fill in some gaps when I am busy doing other things like taking my kids to band practice.
I was listening to one of the many Internet Marketing Gurus the other day. He was talking about parked domains. He said that he has hundreds of domains that he just lets sit there and then when he needs it he can start using it with immediate results. By having these domains active, his domains become “seasoned” meaning that they has been around long enough not to be stuck in the search engines’ sandbox. The search engine sandbox is a penalty that some search engines apply to new sites/domains. This can prevent these new sites from ranking well in the search engine results.
Well, I got to thinking what would happen if we loaded our parked domains with a WordPress Blog and the PostScout.com Automatic Blog Content service? This would help our sites by offering changing content which will make search engines take note. Now, I am not saying that this will skyrocket us to the top but if that site is just sitting there anyway, why not?
So, if you are curious about this solution and would like to find out a little more, then visit us at PostScout.com and follow our link to our Automatic Blog Content service.

How Water Heaters Work
Filed Under Miscellaneous | Comments Off
A gas water heater is nearly identical to an electric water heater, except that it does not contain the two heating elements, but instead has a gas burner at the bottom, with the chimney running up through the middle of the tank.
- A water heater consists of the following parts, as shown in the figure above:
- A heavy inner steel tank that holds the hot water
Typically, this tank holds 40 to 60 gallons. It has to be able to hold the pressure of a residential water system, which typically runs at 50 to 100 pounds per square inch (psi). The tank is tested to handle 300 psi. The steel tank normally has a bonded glass liner to keep rust out of the water.
Insulation surrounding the tank
- A dip tube to let cold water into the tank
- A pipe to let hot water out of the tank
- A thermostat to control the temperature of the water inside the tank (Many electric water heaters have a separate thermostat on each element.)
- Heating elements to heat the water (These are the thick electric elements similar to those you see inside an electric oven.)
- A drain valve that allows you to drain the tank to replace the elements or move the tank
- A pressure relief valve (This is an important safety feature that keeps the tank from exploding.)
- A sacrificial anode rod to help keep the steel tank from corroding
The thermostat controls the temperature of the water inside the tank. Normally you can set the temperature between 120 and 180 degrees Fahrenheit (49 to 82 degrees Celsius). It is generally recommended that you keep the temperature between 120 to 140 degrees F (49 to 60 C) –especially if there are children living in the house — to prevent scalding. It also saves energy.
Normally, the thermostat is underneath a cover plate and it has a knob or a screw that you can use to set the temperature.
As cold water comes in, it remains at the bottom of the tank because it is denser than hot water. If you use the hot water faster than the heating elements can heat the incoming cold water, and if you consume all of the hot water that the tank holds, you run out of hot water in the middle of your shower. If this seems to happen too often, it could mean that the bottom heating element in an electric water heater has burned out or that your water heater is too small for your house. Or it could mean that you are taking really, really long showers.

Getting a Job Fast as aVirtual Assistant
Filed Under Miscellaneous | Comments Off
If working as a Virtual or Home Worker is suddenly thrust upon you because you have lost your job or you need a second income, all is not lost. I started that way in 2000 and am still working via the Internet though spending more time helping others get started in the current climate. I hope the following will help you get going - all you need is a PC and some good office, PA or secretarial skills. Any extra skills such as translation, medical or legal knowledge will get you there even faster.}
Planning your way out of disaster:
You may well be in a panic, running around not knowing what to do or who to pay next. Sit down with a sheet of paper and write down everything you are good at. If you have ever had or looked after children, organisation should be at the top of your list. Use that knowledge to organise a skills sheet and who you know who could use those skills.
There are many sites that have been set up to get Virtual Assistants started but make sure you don’t spend hundreds of dollars before you even start. In debt is not a good way to start. A useful free site on how to become a Virtual Assistant is http://www.iceni-it.co.uk/becoming_a_va.htm Although based in the UK the 4500+ members come from all over the world.
Here is an example of how you should be thinking and acting:
If your only skill apart from organisation is copy typing - well find your nearest college or university and advertise that skill. Put up flyers with your phone number on tear off strips at the bottom. You will probably get your hand bitten off. If you can do transcription, phone the organisation and ask if you can send in a resume of your skills and abilities and if possible arrange a meeting. Holidays and flu will be arriving soon so they may well need extra help and someone local that they know can do the work could be a life saver
Repeat the above example for every skill you have. You may only get a maybe but the more maybe’s you get increases your chance of getting work soon.
Non traditional Home Worker Jobs:
Having a lot of experience is important but in the beginning you may find that it is hard and slow to get work. Whenever I am having work problems I write articles and put them on the Internet. I get paid a small sum if they sell or not but a good sum if they sell. Now how do you learn to write articles? You go Google and do a search for article writing or how to write articles and you will find masses of free information.
Many people say that these firms are not safe. Well I have been doing this for some time and have found that I can earn enough to get by and enjoy the change. A review of this type of work can be found at www.webcolleagues.info. There is also a home typing scheme attached if you enjoy copy typing.
Doing the dirty work:
This may seem a strange heading but in many cases you will be given the work to do that no-one else wants to do. Most Virtual Assistants decide early on that they would do anything they could, that was legal to earn money to pay the bills. These times do not last long as you prove your worth to the person paying you. Think ahead and try to be pro-active. Don’t just do a boring job with a frown on your face and wish you were back in your cubicle. You have the advantages of the freedom of working for yourself so a little bit of downside is not the end of the world.
Getting paid for the work you do - ensure you have a booking form or contract:
When you start working for clients, make sure you have a signed and detailed booking form or contract. Not everything always goes to plan and you want to ensure that you get paid for what you do. Don’t allow yourself to be bullied and always. Always. think of your safety if you are asked to go and meet clients. It is best not to meet them in your house or theirs. Choose a nice open area or a hotel reception and have the meeting there.
Organise your business from the word go:
Part of your organisation skills should include your finances. Work out how much it will cost you per hour to work before you make a profit. Go along to your nearest government Small Business centre and talk to them. Get your booking form or contract checked out and see if there is any money that you can get for starting up. You may also be offered courses on taxation, health and safety and in some areas complete courses on using standard software.
New Times Ahead:
Things are changing rapidly in the world of work. You must be professional as you will be up against Virtual Assistants and Home Workers who have been working from home for many years. A recent estimate was that this recession could last another 5 years. Start as you mean to go on. Professional and hard working and you will build a business that will keep you now and in the future. This is the era of the Small Business and they all need flexible versatile support to help them achieve their success.
I hope I have inspired you to check out how to become a Virtual Assistant and get a job working from home. Running your own business and being your own boss can give you a terrific feeling of freedom, as well as a higher income.
Keep looking forward.
Di.

Handmade Ornaments make terrific gifts.
Filed Under Miscellaneous | Comments Off
A lot of people are looking for an exciting|interesting|exceptional} gift for a family member or another special someone in our life…something to make this Season one to be remembered. If you’ve been unable to find something, as I’ve been unable, you should think about a personalized seasonal ornament.
Debbie Gault, the owner of a delightful site offering Personalized Ornaments, makes most of the ornaments herself, although she does have some assistance from family and friends.
Just what does Debbie offer?
Debbie offers a selection of personalized handmade ornaments, any one of which is guaranteed to cause this memorable season to be even more memorable, when given as an early seasonal gift. And the fact that most are designed to be personalized can make these gifts even more special.
Debbie says: “My Grandmother started teaching me about sewing when I was five. I made my first Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls when I was about ten years old. My most prized possession is my 1940 Singer Featherweight sewing machine that I learned to sew on at my grandma’s house. It is still my favorite machine to use. I also inherited my husbands Grandmas 1950 Singer Featherweight sewing machine. Last spring I talked my Mom into going to an all day maintenance and repair class for my machines. The class was very fun and helpful and I learned a lot
“I started sewing items to sell when I was a teenager. My Mother drove me to juried craft shows. The first items I was selling were handmade fake fur animals and fabric dolls. Everyone told me that I needed to make smaller items. 10 years ago I downsized and started making old fashioned felt ornaments.
“These I sold at craft shows and at a craft mall. However, my business really took off when I got the idea of machine that was designed to embroider names on quilts. I was not satisfied with the quality of the lettering although I sold a lot of ornaments.
“My Mom found small embroidery machines advertised that I could take to shows with me that do a much nicer job of lettering. The business took off when she bought me my first one. I usually take three embroidery machines to shows with me and keep them all humming. These machines draw people who like to watch them work.
“I am sure I could have sold machines if I had extras. It is sometimes hard to keep up with orders for waiting customers so I started taking orders and fulfilling them by mail.”
These ornaments include snowman ornaments. In addition to snowman ornaments, Debbie carries animal ornaments and many more. These personalized handmade ornaments are delightful and make a perfect and very memorable gift for someone special. Debbie carries handmade ornaments and other personalized ornaments.
These delightful specialties can make meaningful gifts for someone special - one that will be remembered for years to come.
I’m sure a family member or friend will enjoy receiving one of these and will cherish it for years to come.
